If there was a book that was written that included information and pedigrees on registered arabian horses including strains and stud books/farms would you buy it?

Example information:

Name
Color
Sex
DOB
DOD
SIRE
DAM
BREEDER
OWNER (MULTIPLE OWNERS IF APPLICABLE)
HEIGHT
IMPORTED/EXPORTED
REGISTRATIONS
STRAIN
FAMILY/STUD (CMK, BABSON, BLUNT, ETC)
PROGENY
SHOWS/RACING INFORMATION
PERCENTAGES
OTHER INFORMATION: WHAT THE HORSE WAS LIKE OR STORIES OF THEM.

Thank you for stopping by

Sure, especially if it had lots of good photos.

some of that information might be considered owned by AHA, however.

What would be your ideal research book? What would you like to know? What would you like to see in a book?

I would like to be able to look at pictures, and a pedigree for sure as well as statistics on a horse...especially if I am researching a pedigree. I would want to know what shows they have won, or races they have won. Any progeny for sure, so if something happens to the horse there is always a bloodline to go to for my own breeding program.

I am not sure what information would be considered property of aha, as alot of that information is available elsewhere on the internet. However if something should arise then hopefully it will be resolved quickly and diplomatically. Hopefully issues won't arise, and we can all benefit from a great resource for our research.

I believe there are already a few books that have attempted this. It would take years to gather all of this information however, especially of including past horses or horses registered that are stuck as pasture ornaments or relatively unknown. However, you would sure learn a lot starting a project like this xD

I am planning on doing a project like this...I know it will take a LONG time, but the information would be so valuable...

and hopefully the information won't be an issue with AHA...we'll have to see...

Yes, but it would depend on where the information was gathered.
Data Source is horrible. They are lacking show records even on horses who were enrolled in Achievement Awards program and show "+"'s by their name,
yet there will be no show record. Example, look up The Phoenician on Data Source. One of the first horses to ever get the Legion of Supreme and yet
he has no show record listed.........not his U.S. Top Tens, or his East Coast Championships, nothing......

If Arlene Magid was involved in this project I would buy and advance copy!
