This mare appears safe at the present time. I can't tell if she is 24 years old or just that her owner has had her for 24 years. Someonewith Data Source could look this up. I have a 24 year old Bey Shah son that still takes me on spirited gallops...I thought maybe with some rehab she could be used for light work or.... She needs some love. There are photos on this link. I hope you can get to it.

Bey Shahnessa is a 1982 model, and has been owned by a lady from California for 24 years, but the mare shown in the rescue pics does not match Bey Shahnessa's markings as listed on Data Source.

That would make her 28 this year. That's very interesting that the markings don't match....hmmmm. Could it be that all that long hair is obscuring her markings? The old dear's chances would certainly improve if the mare is really Bey Shahnessa. Does she have a show record, any offspring, does her dam have a good pedigree? I love the old timers. Thanks for checking Data Source.

Unfortunately the face markings on DS only show a small star and do not include a thin strip and a snip. The other hind leg should have visible white as well, and the photos do not show any white there. However, I know there are cases where the markings on Data Source do not
match those on the actual papers.
According to Data Source, Bey Shahnessa was shown several times in halter and had a moderate career. She has had two registered offspring, one in 1988 and one in 1996. Her dam was by the Gazon son, Gazarr ++.
Whatever her heritage, she looks like a sweet lady and I wish her the very best at finding a perfect retirement home.

I think she might have been a very pretty girl at one time and she is very well bred....it's tough getting old. Unfortunately I don't have any property on which to keep a horse but I will be keeping a good thought for the old dear and hope for the best. Thanks again, Mary.
