Hey Guys, We are in desparate need of homes for approximately 30+ Arabs, all located in Ohio (near Toledo). These were champions and breeding stock that are now dying. Two have been euthanized today and some are lying dead on the property. The authorities are there now seizing them, but they need places to go. Some are in good enough shape to travel, others are not. There are stallions, mares, geldings, yearlings and weanlings. I will post info as I get it, but I am located in NJ, so it is all via phone.

Once the horses have housing, we will work on getting the papers from the owner and/or AHA. Please, if you have room to take any, email Terry at info@arabianrescue.org ASAP.

We will also be needing monetary donations for transport costs to various rescues and grain and hay for the horses left there, SO NO MORE DIE!

I had no idea she had that many horses...she had a very nice stallion that came from Varians and had been top ten a few times ...i saw she had a horse with a trainer and was showing just last yr ...what the h*LL happened?
How horrible for the poor horses ....let us know what we can do ...maybe some of the local clubs in Ohio can donate $$$$$$...

Terry I sent you a PM on facebook. Are there any identifications on the horses? There's a couple of people that saw the message on my status line and are concerned that there might be a couple of horses that they used to own in this group.

Ok I just got this message from someone on facebook and I feel terrible for her. I hope and pray for this mare's sake and hers that the mare is ok. Please forgive me I know this is very hard, but I want to try to get the word out to help this person so that we can somehow help her.

Yes, I just read it was her on ABN and she has one of my mares. I am devastated. I e-mailed the contact person to find out if my mare is still alive, I'd be happy to get her back if she is. I am crying my head off, though...I gave her away because I couldn't afford to take care of her and now she ends up in this situation, and might even be dead. I am so upset, I can hardly type. If you hear any further info, the mare's name is RF Secret Love, a 1997 bay with a small star and a little band of white around one of her front hoofs. She was my first Arabian, and is the dam of my stallion.

edited to say: She's sent me a pic of this mare but I can't post it here. If someone can post it for her it would be great.

How sad, according to data source she has 5 horses registered in her name and 9 in partnerships. Hopefully this won't turn into the same kind of mess as Passion with a bunch of unknow/ unregistered young horses. I feel bad for the ones that have been lost and can't imagine how someone could let that happen.
