Last night I arrived home and there was not a horse in sight. I’m not worried as they seem to just blend into the pastures at times. As I got out of the car Aspen appears at the gate by where I park, ears perked, eyes bright, nickering a plea to let her out. I of course melt and turn her into the yard. A few carrots later I leave her to the gardening while I eat dinner. After I eat, I open the front door and see a virtual sea of horses staring at the front door. Standing next to and closely around each other ears all perked at me with big eyes like trick or treating horses I just had to hand out carrots. Pam had closed but forgotten to chain a distant gate and I can only assume that Trooper led the way.

He knows when you're happy, He knows when you're comfortable,
He knows when you're confident, And he always knows when you have carrots.
