Finding little under new posts, I've started reading archived posts in History Channel on this forum. Currently reading about Working Western Arabians of the Past. There are amazing photos. I've never seen much of what's on this forum. Just now seeing (on Facebook) about Cedardell Arabians selling stock in 2014. Going back and forth with Facebook, allbreed pedigree, and online searches. It's one way to occupy my brain! Oh, I wish I was young again, and could start my Arabian career as a young person!

One horse that holds my attention is Mesaoud, b 1887, who shows up with class. I've noted his look in Magic Aulrab, b. 1993, owned by Peter Mileo, and his grandsire, Aurab, b. 1957. I'm also interested in Abu Farwa, who was in my gelding's pedigree. Anyone interested in reviving such topics? For now, I'm reading the archives.

Sounds interesting.  Would love to see some photos of those horses if available.

I've learned that no amount of money can substitute for class.

this is my least techy skill, posting photos. this is simply links to allbreed pedigree of the individuals.

https://www.allbreed...ree.com/mesaoud

https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/aurab

https://www.allbreed...om/magic aulrab

https://www.allbreed...e.com/abu farwa

The first three are in line, but was not all top line. I am not very knowledgeable, but it top line refers to the sire's line on top, going back from Magic Aulrab, 2 generations to Aurab, the 4 further til Mesaoud comes in through the dam line. Then I look at Aurab's dam, Rabna, who shows 3 lines back to Mesaoud. Further exploration reveals that Abu Farwa also had 3 lines to Mesaoud.

If anyone has this line, I'd like to hear about it.

Yes, is it Aurelius? I've seen him, and he seems to follow the mold. I did once want to use that blood line, but it never worked out. I would want to again, yet don't expect to do so, at my age. It's good to know that bloodline exists. There is small bits of the bloodline in the east now.

Hoping to get others to present some horses they like, too.

Khemosabi and *Serafix are my two favorites and have been for the past 30 years.  Still have that blood in my current stallion.

Could you share photos of them? Serafix was in my horses' pedigree.
