I had no camera for these three events but I took pictures later to clarify the occurrences.
Last weekend I was completing the corral repair and I decided to let out five of the seven horses into the “yard” to do their gardening thing around the house. Shar and Trooper are always finding mischief to get into so they usually remain in the pastures surrounding the yard. Saturday I gave in to Troopers pleading look and let them out as well. The plastic feed lockers have some hay in them. Shar likes to open them and eat. Trooper, on the other hand, if unable to open one just starts rolling it around with his nose until it opens or the floor comes loose. I, of course have a “brilliant, foolproof plan”. I put water a bucket on top and add water making it too heavy to move. Shar came over and failed to move the bucket so went off to graze. Trooper tried as well and failed so I went back to work supervised by Mattie. I glanced over and thought it was so cute that Trooper was thirsty and drinking out of one of the buckets and gave it no thought. Plan or coincidence I’m unsure. When I check on him a little while later, he had drank enough so he could dump the bucket off the lid and was happily munching away. Trooper 1, Mike 0

On Sunday, I had to go to the store to get a fence panel so I just dumped the few bales of hay out of the truck without thinking it through. That afternoon, I let the carrot crew out again and all was peaceful, too peaceful. I look over to where I had tossed the bales and discovered that Trooper had found them. He had his front feet on one bale whil snacking on another one sticking up in the air. Trooper 2, Mike 0

Today he was just cute. I had the water running in the south pasture tub and I found him with the faucet in his mouth as the water was just pouring in and running out. Gotta quit working and start carrying my camera. LOL

He knows when you're happy, He knows when you're comfortable,
He knows when you're confident, And he always knows when you have carrots.

This started my morning so fabulously.  He is really an amazing horse and a thinker.   He tries to make you think hes a bit dull but that is a total act.  I wish you could have had video of him drinking the water down.……...

I am so happy he is with you.
