Somewhere in So. Ca. is a gelding that will wake up Friday morning and have breakfast having no idea his world is about to change.

Oh, how fun!  Tell us more.  How old is he?  What's his backstory?  He looks very well cared for!

I came close to welcoming a bay gelding recently but I was third in line. I’m constantly being asked to take horses and have Craigslist ads brought to my attention. While I consider each one on their own merit I find I’m rather picky as to which horse will join the carrot crew. A chestnut gelding caught my attention recently but I was third in line. I have my age range as I don’t want to take on one with high medical bills and a short life expectancy, or one that I’ll be trying to find a good home for in its senior years. This boy meets all criteria. He’s 16, a perfect age, smart, with a personality to match. Like Trooper and Mattie, I won’t have to put weight on him and no rehab needed. The other free horses really needed a home. This one has been where he is now since he was six months old. The care and handling has been exceptional so he should be a joy and easy to accept his new situation. Health issues force his placement and he will be greatly missed. I have promised to keep her abreast of his new life. Reminds me of Mayo. Jodi Tuft has graciously volunteered to bring him north to her ranch, Valley Horse Center on Friday. I will drive down and pick him up on Sunday. Introducing BST Quazi:

He's beautiful!  I'm sure the owners feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful forever home!  Looking forward to hearing about the transition!

With the loss of Begonia a shelter had opened up and while we weren’t looking to fill it I keep an eye out for a horse in need. Corasmom keeps tabs on horses in need and keeps me updated. I missed a couple that would have fit in, then this boy showed up on Facebook. After seeing him in person he was desperately in need for sure. Still I’m 2-0 in great horses from you. LOL. If another opening should occur here, who knows? Remember I’m a visual sort and a picture is more tempting to me than a description. Heh heh

There will be pictures when he gains some serious weight.
