Now that Youth is back in Oklahoma City have a question for those that attended and have also attended US in Tulsa.  How do the facilities compare in your opinion?

I like Tulsa better. The main arena at OKC is nice but the secondary one is very small. All the Youth stalls were in the same building so that was a plus for camaraderie for them but it seemed like the air quality was really poor - although it was 100+ degrees, so that may not be an issue in October. Overall, both facilities are very nice. Oklahoma is a very horse-friendly state and very fortunate to have not one but two world class facilities.

Disagree.  OKC is a much better facility in my opinion.

In fairness, I was only there a day and a half and that's the first time I've been back in years.  I didn't really have time to get a feel for the entire facility - there's a lot of new construction since the last time I was there in 2007 I think.  It is very nice - obviously so, the AQHA holds their World Show there  :)

AQHA World, AQHA Youth, Morgan, Palomino, Paint are all there.  We could have had the AQHA Youth slot but the Registry wouldn't even give it a look.

All the stalls are indoors, the arenas and work rings are easy to get to from either side of the bisecting roadway,  The outdoor arena on the south side of the facility is huge, there are 7 (?) permanent solid round pens on the west side. the good sized work area on the east side is covered.   All the wash racks are indoors and permanent.

You mentioned air quality - have you been in the upper level of the Explorer barn at Tulsa?  By the third day the stench is horrible plus no indoor wash racks and in bad weather it's a long trek to the show arenas.

It is nice but both should be in OKC - the Tulsa facility does not come close.
