Posting this for a friend. I will pass on any leads to her. Thanks everyone:) You can email me at info@inlandfarms.com

Hi Marcie,I have a 7 year old kiddo who is looking for a baby sitter horse she can go on trails with (with mom) and maybe do some walk trot showing. If you know of anything, they don't wanna spend much ( maybe $2000) but it would be a really great forever home/retirement situation. Let me know if you know of anything Posted Image thanks!

Did you check this thread? http://forums.arabia...humane-society/

A bit far away (in TX), but I have a 1998 gelding - extensive record in local showing, has also done USDF dressage (Training Level) as well as SHIH. Trails, games, etc. I used him as a lesson horse, but "his" kids have all moved on to other horses. He has taught many kids to ride. He is also the "go-to" horse for when an unexpected kid shows up wanting to ride. He can be handled totally by a tiny child - bathes, trailer loading, farrier, everything. Zero bad habits. In great health, and well-maintained on all routine care.

He really is a superb child's pony. I have photos from one local open show where he took a kid in lead line, a different in walk-whoa, and a third in huntseat w-t-c.

Sadly, he is not a stylish jumper, not very classy with his knees, and all of "my" kids are now doing hunters or jumpers. He's be an incredible dressage pony for some kiddo (or even a nervous-nelly adult!).

Some more pics to tempt with:

I don't think you're ever too far when the safety of a child hinges on a dependable, honest horse.
