I bought one of them too - thought I'd give it a try. And I'm staring at it too waiting for a little inspiration...... no flashes of light or break throughs yet. And to think I thought it could be easy. ;) Sure gives me a whole new appreciate for the wonderful seamstresses out there that do this on a regular basis and make such beautiful clothes.

My attempts at making Barbie clothes aeons ago taught me that my skills did not lie in the seamstress area. My hat's off to the talented ladies who make these lovey creations!

I don't know how my jacket is going to turn out. I still have to sew the appliques on the back, and then I'm going to trim the bottom and cuffs with a really unique piece of leather I found. I must be part parrot though, because I really like shiny things :) . Scouring the internet for rhinestones was a lot of fun and I can't wait to start "bedazzling" this thing.

Here's a link to one of my favorite horseshow clothiers - I have several of their outfits - they just posted this one on their website - it was my first time to wear the shirt - I bought it to "match" Vinnie - and it does!

Well rats. It wouldn't let me upload the pic that shows the shirt better (from the front). Oh well - go check their show stuff out anyway - the girls who own it are Kay and Penny and they are over-the-top nice folks!

I do applique work, and crystal work, before I put the shirt or jacket together. I always do the collar and cuffs, before it's all sewed together. ;)
