Anyone else see the ad for this purebred Arabian dilute stallion?? No pictures of the stallion are shown on the ad. As far am i am aware, no such thing as a dilute purebred.

Maybe they are thinking that sabino is considered a dilute?

I looked up photos of him online and it looks like he is a wild bay... maybe they think that is a dilution? Or they think the silver hairs in his mane and tail are from a dilution instead of the sabino/wild bay

Not a dilute. Own his grandsire on the dam side and the silver hairs in the mane and roaning in the flanks come with the Khemo blood.

Yep, wild bay.

Wow. They are either very dishonest or very ignorant. I don't think I would want to do business with them, either way... He looks like a nice enough horse. It's too bad they couldn't be bothered to learn anything about the breed before trying to make a buck off of him.

Silver cream dilution in a purebred stallion?? And she is claiming her part Welsh foal by this horse to be a "bronze brindle". Funny that this lady is located in Washington, home of the people who perpetrated the RWR Sonora "first purebred tobiano filly" scam.
Coincidence??

The owner was given the advice to have him TESTED in April 2010, by people interested in the genetics of coat colour. I take it this hasn't happened yet.

I had a dilute Arabian stallion, ALI-ZEUS. Tested every which way from Sunday (tested for black, agouti, pearl, creme, and silver by UC Davis). Khingston is NOT a dilute anything.

How fun! What did they say--and post photos. Photos are fun and I'm feeling a little glum today.

Aelfleah/Tamara, am I reading your post correctly? You had a purebred stallion who was tested by UC-Davis as carrying the creme, silver, AND pearl dilutions?
Or was he tested and found NOT to carry these genes?
