Hello, I'm looking into an Arabian mare whose dam is listed as "Amaritta", but there isn't any info. about her on all-breed pedigree. Does anyone have any info. about her? She is supposed to be all Spanish, but I don't know...Thanks, Sunny

Thank you --that sure was a prompt reply! Do I read the pedigree as:

Amaritta AHR *249803 grey 1982

Amaritta's sire = Zancudo SSB *3200, chestnut, and her dam = Calero SSB 3619, grey, born 1965?

Also, does "SSB" stand for "Straight Spanish Bred"?

Thank you for all of your help! Sunny

Amaritta is my mare's grand-dam! I am in the process of doing deep deep research on my mare's pedigree, if I find anything else on Amaritta I can let you know.

By the way, what's the registered name of the mare you're looking into? Just curious to see if its Star's dam XD

Sunny,

You can find out a great deal about the Spanish lines at Spanish Arabian Promotions (SAP) discussion group.

http://sports.groups...bianPromotions/

The archives (FILES) and Links are numerous as are the photo collections of members Farms/horses.

And YEAH !!! the message search finally works correctly so you can search more information in the messages/posts if the horse you are looking for was ever mentioned.

Just click on JOIN.

Oh. And click on Spanish Arabian Photos in my signature to see photos of all these horses.

This mare is definitely straight Spanish with an absolutely wonderful pedigree! She is for sure a treasure!! If you have the opportunity to give her a good home snap her up!! We would love to take her ourselves but are not in the position to be able to transport that far so we just can't. Would love to see her go to an ABN home so we can see photos of her as she progresses!!! Amaritta's sire Nilo is a full brother to Rastano. What an opportunity. Katherine Whitecotton
