That was a fun pictorial, Sandee! You have my never-ending respect. If you bring him to the show in Temecula, I will be there and will make sure to head down that night to cheer him on :D

Let me know! We're showing there as our final warm-up for nationals. The show doesn't start til Sunday, but we'll be in town that night. I'm bummed you can't take him to nationals!

Reflection SA is a 1999 grey purebred Arabian stallion.
He is from our own small breeding program and was carefully bred with education, purpose and desire to carry our breed into the future.

Our goal simply is being able to sire big beautiful Arabians with great minds, bone and structure, mental stability to team with their human counterparts to go into the show ring and compete successfully in halter and performance, and off season take them all over hills, mountains, rivers and beaches of our great country.

Pieces of perfection were carefully studied to create this horse: Dreamy heads and faces, Size and Type from his world famous Om El Arab sire line, Substance and Athleticism from the centuries old successful Russian and Polish breeding programs. Both programs are famous for bone density, and timeless classic beauty.

Reflection SA mirrors this goal. With a pedigree rich in history, he is a perfect proponent blend of strong breeding programs and will successfully pass it along to the next generation.

With show wins in both halter and performance rings, coupled with the challenges of endurance racing, tough real trail or "Yahooing" as often as possible, Reflection SA is one of the best minded, best footed and most versatile Arabian stallions available today.

We choose to stand him at a very reasonable price. Breeding decisions matter. We take breeding, creation and goals all very seriously. We have him at home and not in a training barn show string. We enjoy him too much at home to send him anywhere. We don’t have to get a big stud fee to help offset his costs in a show string. It’s our pleasure to help you get the foal you’ve always dreamed of.

***********************************

About Reflection SA's sire:
*Sanadik El Shaklan (*El Shaklan x *Mohena)
(From Om El Arab, Intl.):
http://www.omelarab....ns/shaklan.html

************************************
About Reflection SA's dam:
Afterlight (*Menes x Amber Belle) 1985 Grey Mare bred by Ventura Farms, Thousand Oaks California
She is a special mare that we were fortunate enough to purchase in 1996. She had 3 foals for us:
• Aura Sambara (dam of halter and WP Champion Beon Eternety by Eternety),
• Shakiera (by *Sanadik El Shaklan) and
• Reflection SA (by *Sanadik El Shaklan).

Afterlight was shown successfully in halter from the time she was a yearling and into her two year old by Jerry Sindt of Ventura Farms, carrying Lasma “Star” titles (a breedings standard type of show headed by the LaCroix Family, and big at that time).

Afterlight was sent out for race training for her entire third and forth years (but never raced), as David H. Murdock was becoming more involved in Arabian racing during these years. She was never lame or injured.

Afterlight was born from the first US foal crop of the hot Russian imported stallion *Menes (Nabeg x Metropolia). We feel like Americans missed a huge opportunity by having *Menes here only such a short time.

Now that it's 22 years later, we are starting to really note how valuable his offspring have come to out-produce themselves. Sons and most notably, daughters, have been known to produce more horses of substance, something that is a good attribute to have when breeding Arabian horses. *Menes was a wonderful broodmare sire and some people have been smart and lucky enough to get the last remaining daughters . We are lucky to have one of them.

His statistics of a King Maker are also impressive.

Afterlight's dam, Amber Belle was bred by Lasma and purchased in 1984 by Ventura Farms for the whopping price of $220,000. She was a daughter of *Buszmen and out of the big Polish English Pleasure trotting mare, *Bint Ambara.

*Bint Ambara was imported en utero from Albigowa State Stud, Poland, and owned by Lasma until 1983 when Val-Delor Farms purchased her at age 20 for $115,000 from the 1983 Lasma V Sale.
Dam of 21 foals, (before they had embryo transfer technology) all grey. She is the dam of famous *Bask children Mon Ta Basko, Ambaryz, Amythyst, Amber Light, Ambush, Ambition (exported to Australia in 1977), Amber Lit , Ambaszk, Ambitt, and Alloura.

More about Afterlight’s sire, *Menes:
Among the Russian bred Arabian horses the bloodlines of Menes are very sought after, therefore line breeding is often used to breed horses with several lines to Menes to improve his quality. Because Menes has proven himself as a showhorse but it are his children that proved to be able to pass his properties and his breeding quality on to their offspring. There are many champions among his get and grandget.

Menes was sold in 1983 to the USA where he has sired over 200 foals, many of them are show winners. His offspring is well known from every corner of the world and gained titles at the highest show level. Menes is awarded with the Elite-title by the Russian Studbook. From 1981 till 1983 Menes was Chief Sire on the Russian State Stud Tersk. More American people had tried to buy Menes in Russia, but got a NJET as answer all the time. But in 1983, after 10 months of negotiating, Fidelis International (Arles Arabians of the Family Weinstein from Wisconsin and Simon Chilewic of the Chilewich Corporation from New York) succeeded to buy Menes for the amount of 1,250,000 dollars and a percentage of the breeding fees in the USA. The breeding fee in the USA for a breeding by Menes was 25,000 dollars, with special conditions.

(from: http://www.4darabian...ite/Menes_E.htm)
Some facts:

• *Menes son, Emperator was World Champion.

• *Menes offspring include Vympel, named the "Black Prince of Tersk", as well as former Tersk director Alexander Ponomarev's "Horse of the Century" Balaton, himself the sire of Europe's "King" Kubinec.

• Balaton (Menes x Panagia) gained the title European Champion.

• Balatons sons, like Kubinec, Sambist, Arben and Abakan are show champions.

• Menestrel Al Shamilah (Menes x Julia Bea) was placed first of the Junior stallions at the World Championships.

• Pegase F (Menes x Pesenka) became National Champion of Belgium.

• Gusar (Menes x Simpatika), born in 1984, acquired an important role at the Russian State Stud Tersk. Because he was free of Aswan-blood.

• Many of his grandget are champions, for example his grandson Massai Ibn Marenga (Mirokan x Marenga by Menes) is an international Champion stallion.

• Many of his greatgrandget are champions, for example his greatgrandson FS Bengali (Kubinec x Om El Sanadiva) is an international Champion stallion.

• You can find Arabian horses with the bloodlines of Menes all over the world, for example Tullamore (Harbin x Turbina by Balaton) was sold to Iran.

Here's a couple of videos. One is done as a typical stallion marketing video. The other one was cut from a piece of my dreams and imagination and I wanted it for a keepsake.

Loved the video and when I looked at his dam's pedigree I see a who's who of significant Polish horses. His 6th dam is by Kaszmir. Wow. And plenty of other great horses in there. You need to go the Sport Horse route as this horse has lots to offer those venues between his own ability and his dam line.
