Hi all,

As many of your know, Baby Jakk arrived here a week ago. I thought I would start a new thread so that Jakk can continue to grow up here on ABN. Of course, if I had thought about this ahead of time, I would have brushed him, but here he is in all his natural beauty:).

Today we went out to work on his paddock a bit (although it was 105 degrees!). At first I was going to move Jakk to the next paddock, but decided that the noise and interaction would be good for his training.

First our friend Frank used his roping horse to drag the new horse safe fencing into his paddock, as he had his horse all saddled and the roll was pretty heavy. Jakk took advantage of meeting Frank's horse Riley, whose is his paddock neighbor, close up:

Today is only the second time my husband Jonathan has been out to see Jakk, as he's been in bed due to his recent back reconstruction. I think he loves him:

Ok, lets get to work.

Hum Jakk thought he would help by tipping over the fencing (I was keeping an eagle eye on him and made him leave it alone after these photos):

More photos to come after someone posts.

Happy Trails~

Thanks Kris!! We just LOVE him!

Here he is helping Jonathan with the new fencing:

This is going to be such fun! And Jakk is soooooooooo helpful. Can he learn how to muck up after himself, too?

Joyce, I know you plan to geld him but what is really amazing is how nice he is having that other horse in there when he is still intact. He is a very good boy. Looks like he went into that butt high stage again!!

He does that about once every other month and each time grows so get ready! LOL. What a cuite he is.

He is just in 7th heaven. Love it.

Thanks again for sharing. So happy he found you and you found him. A match made in heaven.

Hi,

Since I don't know how to multi quote different posts, I'll just reply to everyone individually.

Sheila-I love King Jakk! I've been thinking of dropping the Baby, but Jakk just wasn't enough, so King Jakk it is.

Retha-Yes, that is my favorite photo too, however, Jonathan said to tell you that his back was hurting so much that Jakk was propping him up:).

Sunkat & Cyclone-Yes, we really should put him to work (cowpony!)!!

Heather-The heat about killed us. We actually just went over to visit him, but once we got there Jonathan started working. We are so thankful our two good friends showed up. I couldn't take it and was trying to stay under the shelter. Jonathan nearly passed out at one point and had to go sit in the car in the A/C. When I got him home, I really thought he might have a slight case of heat stroke, but having just gotten out of bed to go visit Jakk, it was all just too much.

Yes, he's butt high for sure.

He is being such a good boy to handle that we will wait to geld him until Oct./Nov. when the heat passes and the flies are gone.

Happy Trails~
