Well today I got to meet Baby Jakk's new mother, maybe she will call him Jakk or grown up Jakk LOL, but to me he will always be "Baby Jakk' as he came to me such a 7 month old scruff ball. He is today this gorgeous swan that is so elegant and so handsome. I always knew it was under that duckling , this swan.

Well it just made my heart sing to see his new owner , Joyce with him today. Joyce is a wonderful lady who I have been conversing with for around 3 to 4 months in emails about Jakk. I was very cautious about who he went to, extremely so , in fact. The mere fact Joyce stuck around with me being so suspicious and weird about it says a lot about her character . If she can make it through my stand offish nature in this whole ordeal it was indeed meant to be , with all the rescues and such going on and with the people out there in internet land posing to be good people who are actually bad people, well you can all imagine how hard I was !!

Finally today she came to meet him and I told her last night "I will know if he chooses you, he will let you catch him and we will just know'". Well, it is so funny as he really did choose her and she chose him too!! They bonded so fast and he practically wanted to go into her trunk to go home with her. She was very good with him and her demeanor is EXACTLY what I had in mind for this guy. Someone who does not over react when he is a bit naughty and who can handle it when he is VERY naughty....and who appreciates how sweet and loving he is at the same time.

Joyce is a lovely person and I could honestly not have drawn out a more perfect owner for Jakk. I truly could not have come up with anyone more perfect. And he literally fell in love with her, in fact we had to tell him not to be quite THAT in love!! I have never seen this horse so smitten , ever, with anyone.

He is still a young and uneducated colt but Joyce will get a trainer and she herself is very good so.........well.........YAY

I hope you all enjoy this photo of Joyce and Jakk.....I really got a little tear when I saw her with him a few times. I left them alone as much as possible and his little brother Paladin was being a stink bug today so had my hands full !!!

Had to adjust the lighting on this photo to make the images pop out more but here you go, Joyce, CONGRATULATIONS and welcome to our family!!! You are always welcome at Paladin Ranch, anytime and we are so delighted you and Jakk found each other. ABN can take the credit here.

Heather,

Words escape me! As you know I absolutely LOVE Jakk and knew he would be worth the wait. He is everything I wanted and so much more!

They bonded so fast and he practically wanted to go into her trunk to go home with her.

You are right. I would have taken him home in my trunk if I could have and I think he would have willingly followed!

I can not wait to get him home and will take lots of photos (actually hubby probably will take them) and post them on ABN for all to share Jakk's journey.

I think of him as Baby Jakk too.

Your ranch and horses are just so wonderful. I love your program and was excited to meet you. After all our emails, it was such a joy to visit. I wish I could have stayed all day, but as you know I had to get home to a recovering hubby.

Thank you once again for placing your trust in me with your precious boy.

What a wondrous new chapter to this amazing story of 'Baby Jakk"! Without meaning to sound too 'ephemereal', this pic of the two of them just exudes compatibility. It literally rolls off the page! You done gud, lacinder!
