I was asked to take some photos of a neighbors barn and went to do it last night. When I was done with that shoot I saw another interesting barn at an abandoned farm just down the road.

I drove into the yard of the farm and began shooting. I heard the faint sound of music waif through the area I was in then go away. It happened a couple of times for 5-10 seconds each time. I looked around and noticed a few broken windows with white curtains billowing out. The sound did not always come from the window area, once it was the barn area. The music reminded me of old gospel songs from the 1920's or 1930's.

Here is the barn photo I took before spinning gravel to leave the yard.

Beautiful photo! The lighting is perfect!

Sad to no longer be "IQ's Mom", but glad that he has gone to a good home.

It has that "LOOK" like you ought to spin gravel when you leave!! Great photo of a most interesting looking old barn! Do you have any history on your subject?? That would be super to know just a bit after hearing the old music...You might just learn who was singing wink.gif

Well, that story definately gave me a chill. Yikes!

Beautiful photo, those old barns have a mystic about them... from an era gone by... there seem to be many of them in SD?
It once must have been a farming mecca.

I spent my late child hood to adult hood in a house built in 1899 , and we had a ghost. SHe was the g-mother of the folks we bought the place from. The dogs always let us know when she was around watching us.We saw her white blob going inbetween the livingroom and the den many times on her way to the kitchen smile.gif SO ghost dont scare me,but music might smile.gif Mer
